On June 22, 2010, the PA Tourism and Lodging Association Board of Directors met to discuss the Association’s future after PTLA President Barry Wickes’ departure. PTLA has a long-standing tradition of serving the tourism industry’s needs in governmental affairs, education and operational support.

In the coming months, the Board will continue to look for opportunities this transition provides to the organization and its members.

Leeann MacWilliams, current Vice President, has accepted the Board’s offer to become the Interim Operating Officer, effective June 26, 2010.

“The Board is pleased that Leeann has accepted this leadership position. She, along with the staff, are committed to moving PTLA forward,” said James Purdum, CHA, PTLA Chairman and General Manager, Penn State Hospitality Services.
