Greetings from the PTLA staff in Harrisburg. It's hard to believe the summer is over and the new school year has started. This monthly newsletter is designed to update you on recent news and other important matters of interest to you and your students.

We are pleased to announce the Nittany Lion Inn, in cooperation with the Penn State School of Hospitality, will host next year's State LMP Competition again. The event will take place on March 10-12, 2010. Please mark these dates on your calendars.
The competition will consist of five segments. Students will compete in teams of four. The winning team will go on to represent Pennsylvania in the Annual National LMP Competition next April in Orlando, Florida.
We are seeking corporate sponsors to help underwrite the costs of this event. We need your assistance in identifying potential sponsors. Please provide names and their contact information to Barry Wickes by telephone (717-232-8880) email at bwickes@patourism.org.
Updates on the State Competition will be included in future monthly newsletters.
