PTLA Golf Tournament Benefits the
Pennsylvania Hospitality Foundation
 |
| Members of the Namacolin Woodland Resorts winning team of the 2006 Golf Tournament accept the trophies from Jim Miles, Vice President of Hershey Entertainment and Resorts and now Chairman of the PTLA Board of Directors and from Faye Gayes, Vice President, Educational Institute American Hotel & Lodging Association. |
Please join us for the 9th Annual PTLA Golf Tournament on Thursday September 6, 2007 at the Hershey Country Club's East Course and newly constructed Picard Grand Pavilion. The tournament benefits the Pennsylvania Hospitality Foundation.
Enjoy a tasty lunch before setting out for the shotgun start on the famous East Course. Complimentary refreshments are supplied throughout the day. Following an outstanding day of golf, including a $10,000 Hole In One Prize on the 13th hole, (sponsored by Design & Supply Company, Inc.), join us for a fine Reception and Awards Dinner. I can smell the NY Strip Steak already. Numerous Door Prizes will be provided. Wouldn't one of those 32" Golfer Trophies look good in your office?
Your golfing supports the Foundation's work in the following ways:
- Start-up funding for new schools introducing the program for the purchase of curriculum materials. There are presently 8 schools interested in beginning the program in 2007 and 2008.
- Support to the 28 Schools and Career Centers throughout the Commonwealth already offering the program. The greatest number of programs in the country.
- Funds to hold the Annual TLC State High School Student Competition (held in conjunction with the Penn State School of Hospitality Management).
- Funds to send the State's winning team to the National Competition held by the Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Lodging Association in Orlando, Florida.
- Funds to offer the yearly Teacher's Networking Event to provide instruction by the Educational Institute and networking opportunities.

| Students of the Erie County Technical School joined by their teacher, Bob Craft, (center) accept their trophy as winners on the 2007 State Training for Lodging Careers Competition from Dawn Driver (left), Administrative Specialist, and Bert Van Hoof, (right) Director, both of the School of Hospitality Management Pennsylvania State University. |
Your support is very important to the training of high school students with the goal of becoming hospitality professionals like you.
