Governor Rendell this week formally notified Leadership in the Senate and House of the special energy session agreed to as part of the budget settlement and outlined what legislative topics will be the focus of the session.

Governor said the session would consider “any and all legislation regarding funding for and the making of investments in clean and renewable energy, energy conservation, and economic development efforts relating thereto, and the establishment of requirements regarding the renewable energy content of liquid fuels.”

The Governor will start the session with an address to a joint session of the Senate and House at 11:00 a.m. on September 17.
