2007 PTLA Golf Tournament Recap

Overll tournament winners AND winners of the Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) Cup, the Lehigh Valley CVB
Excitement was high as 136 golfers planned their strategy of play over an outstanding picnic lunch provided by the Hershey Country Club Staff. All were in their carts as instruction was provided and the call came over the bullhorn for all golfers to begin play. Carts filed past the Assistant Pro of the Country Club, with determination on each and every face. An afternoon of exciting golf followed. Dennis Noonan of Nemacolin Woodland Resorts came within inches of winning $10,000 on Hole # 13. Kevin Madrzykowski of Outdoor Advertising Association of Pennsylvania won the “Longest Drive” and Phil Tumminello with Caesars Pocono Resorts won the “Closest to the Pin.” Both won gift certificates to the Hershey Country Club's Pro Shop.

Following the 18 holes of golf, a wonderful Awards Reception and Dinner delighted the pallet of all those attending, complimented with a PTLA ice sculpture and beautiful flower centerpieces. Greetings were offered by James C. Miles, Vice President of Resorts for Hershey Entertainment & Resorts, and Chairperson of the PTLA Board of Directors.

HersheyJobs.com was the evening's Reception and Dinner Sponsor and Nate Douty, Vice President Human Resources, Hershey Entertainment & Resorts, shared a few words with the group providing examples of ways hoteliers have the opportunity to interact with the community-in-general on areas addressing workforce development.
