In July 2007, the famed 2,200-acre Bedford Springs Resort reopened its doors following an unprecedented $120 million renewal and expansion. The first Bedford Springs Hotel was built in 1806 and its guest registry soon included U.S. Presidents and members of high society. The opulent resort was home to one of the first golf courses in America (originally designed by Spencer Oldham, then redesigned by both A.W. Tillinghast and Donald Ross) as well as one of the nation's first indoor pools. Designated a National Historic Landmark in 1984, the resort closed two years later and was purchased in 1998 with plans to restore it to its original grandeur.
The hotel has 216 Guestrooms & Suites. Other facilities and amenities include a state-of-the-art conference center; 30,000 Sq. Ft. Springs Eternal Spa - Mineral Springs Treatments; a Restored 18-Hole Golf Course, $1.5 Million Outdoor Pool & Mineral Springs-Fed Indoor Pool, on-property trout fishing, and 25 Miles of hiking & mountain biking trails.
A block of rooms is reserved at the Resort for those individuals who need overnight accommodations. To make a room reservation, call the Resort at 814-623-8100 and mention PTLA to receive a special rate of only $150.00.
