Several other PTLA members presented testimony, including:
- Craig Davis, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, VisitPittsburgh
- Jason Fink, Director, Lycoming County Visitors Bureau and President, PA Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus
- Robert Uguccioni, Executive Director, Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau
- Annie Urban, Executive Director, Laurel Highlands Visitors Bureau
Other participants included:
- Mickey Rowley, Deputy Secretary for Tourism, DCED
- Richard Bonds, Executive Director of Tourism Marketing, DCED
- Douglas Hill, Executive Director, PA County Commissioners Association
- Dr. Richard Harrill, Director, University of South Carolina, Department of Hotel, Restaurant & Tourism Management
Last month, the PA Tourism Office announced the 2007-08 matching grants will use last year's funding criteria to distribute its $10.5 million state appropriation. In July, the Office issued new guidelines. Based on feedback from tourist promotion agencies and legislators, the proposed guidelines were suspended in August. Since that time, the Tourism Office has been working with the Executive Committee of the PA Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus to develop new guidelines. A committee of the Governor's Partnership Board has been created and tasked with crafting legislation establishing new guidelines.
