Destination Pennsylvania 2008
Reverts to Previous "Off-line" Process

The Pennsylvania Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus (PACVB) re-tooled and launched Destination Pennsylvania on line in 2007. It was their hope that this would allow travel professionals to request valuable tourism literature through a state-of-the-art e-commerce website: www.destinationpa.org.

After trying this concept and listening to your feedback over the last 18 months, PACVB feels that they still have some more work to do to make this the type of concept and program that will best serve their tourism partners.

So for the 2008 tourism season, PACVB is going to revert back to the original brochure distribution process (see attached) and spend the next several months working on ways to make this on-line program component a great added benefit.

PACVB will continue to work towards providing this service in both an on-line format and in a hard copy brochure format, but for 2008 they will be reverting to the original distribution process.

This continues to be one of the best and most inexpensive ways to reach more than 5,000 national and international travel agents, tour brokers, excursion bus company operators, and AAA/CAA travel offices in the U.S. and Canada.

You won't want to miss out; advertising in the program is easy! Just fax the contract to 717-901-4055 and email a .PDF file of your current brochure to patty@pacvb.org. Include a description of 25 words or less for use as a caption. (Please note any special capitalization's required for a name or slogan.) You will receive a proof of your listing by email or fax for final approval.

A sample of the Destination PA brochure is attached for your review. The prepaid cost of your space is $600.00.

The deadline to reserve space in the 2008 Pennsylvania Destination PA Program is January 24th, 2008. Distribution will be made in February, just in time for the upcoming tourist season. Act now and reserve your space today.

Brochure requests are filtered through the PACVB Office and a monthly report will be sent directly to you for fulfillment. Please do not hesitate to contact PACVB Headquarters in Harrisburg if you have any questions.
