PACVB 2008 Legislative Reception

On behalf of the members of the Pennsylvania Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus we would like to invite you to attend the 33rd Annual Travel & Tourism Legislative Reception. In the past the reception has been followed by a dinner, but with this year's new format we will just be hosting a Legislative Reception celebrating Tourism in Pennsylvania.

The event will be held at the Hilton Harrisburg & Towers on Monday, March 17, 2008. The event is from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m and the cost is $99.

The Reception format offers many great advantages:

• We are competing with other groups for your Legislators' time that night. A reception format will give the legislators the flexibility to come and network without having to stay for a full dinner which in years past has kept legislative attendance down.
  
  
• The Reception will provide a greater opportunity and more flexibility to network with your peers in the industry as well as Legislators that will be attending the event.
  
  
• The reception format will allow us to showcase the regions throughout the state, so that legislators can easily identify the regions.
  
  
• This format also gives the regions a great opportunity to showcase their tourism success stories.
  

This is an important event for tourism leaders and is the only forum that continues to attract more than 600 individuals: state legislators, government officials, and private sector partners to collectively celebrate the success of Pennsylvania’s tourism industry. Governor Rendell has confirmed his attendance for the Reception.
