Governor's Conference on Tourism Will Bring Together
Key Stakeholders and Industry Experts

The first-of-its-kind Governor’s Conference on Tourism will take place May 4-6, 2008, at the Wyndham Gettysburg Hotel & Conference Center in Gettysburg. Conducted in co-operation with the PA Tourism Office, the Office of Community Affairs and Development, and the Governor’s Tourism Partnership Board, the Conference will focus on preserving the distinctive character of Pennsylvania’s communities while building economic development through cultural and placed-base tourism. The purpose of the Conference, which will bring together key public and private stakeholders and industry experts, is to create a “blueprint for partnership” that will form the foundation for a master plan for sustainable tourism across Pennsylvania. The Conference program includes a reception at the new Gettysburg Visitors Center, educational sessions, offsite case studies, and a Governor’s Banquet with Governor Ed Rendell as the featured speaker.

You and/or your staff are encouraged to attend. A limited block of hotel rooms has been reserved at a special discount rate for the conference.
