| Frank Vasquez
Hello, my name is Frank Vasquez, a native of New York, and I am proud to be a first generation American of Hispanic decent. I reside in State College with my partner of 10 years, while he is obtaining his PHD.
I have had the great fortune of being a Visual Merchandiser, an Executive Trainer and an HR manager over the course of my career in Retail Management and Human Resources. I have had the opportunity to live in some wonderfully diverse cities in South Florida, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Virginia, DC, New Jersey, New York, and now Pennsylvania. For the past 2 years I have been with Manpower as a Staffing Specialist.
Manpower's commitment to community involvement is what initially brought me to the Community Diversity Group last May. I have since found that I have a vested interest and obligation to my community if I am to expect change to happen. Not only as an equal opportunity employer but as a person who represents multiple under represented groups in State College. I believe that it is up to me to change perceptions and that my actions should positively reflect and impact my community. I want to not only live in a community that recognizes and appreciates diversity but one that also takes action to change for the betterment of all people.
