PTLA Legislative Update
Date Changed - DCED Secretary - Acting - DCED Secretary Alan Walker is scheduled for his confirmation hearing before the Senate on March 1st – 9:00 am. The confirmation hearing is before the Senate Community, Economic & Recreational Development Committee – Chaired by Senator Earll - Erie. PTLA has submitted questions to the Senate Committee on Tourism related topics to be directed to Secretary Walker to gauge his support of the industry and the direction of this Administration.
The Senate Appropriations Committee will be holding its Budget Hearing with the Department of Community and Economic Development on March 29th at 3:00 pm. Senators will have an opportunity to ask DCED staff questions and make comments as it relates to the Governor’s Budget that will be presented on March 8th. |
