U.S. Travel Association is holing a "Grassroots Boot Camp" in Washington, D.C. on September 13-14th.

Grassroots Boot Camp is right for you if:

• 1. You are a tourism professional that wants policymakers to make changes to enable greater success in promoting our industry.
  
  
• 2. You are responsible for informing and mobilizing colleagues and/or community members on important travel issues.
  
  
• 3. You want to ensure the travel industry's voice is heard in Washington, your state, and your local community.
  

The Boot Camp will equip destinations and companies with the advocacy tools they need to achieve positive results for the travel industry in their communities. The program will combine a legislative advocacy day on Capitol Hill with a day of advocacy training, guest speakers, roundtable discussions, and peer networking

The first day is going to be an intimate, in-depth training on the concepts and fundamentals of grassroots, including presentations from Washington insiders, panel discussions from travel-industry experts, and roundtable discussions amongst the participants. On the second day, we will send everyone up to Capitol Hill to meet with their elected officials and advocate for issues that are important to the overarching travel and tourism industry.
