2012 Pennsylvania Tourism Summit

In March of 2011 the Pennsylvania Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus (PACVB), the Pennsylvania Tourism and Lodging Association (PTLA) and the Pennsylvania Tourism Coalition hosted our first statewide Pennsylvania Tourism Summit.

This event is intended to become an annual gathering of one of the state’s most critical industries. The theme for last year’s event was “Together for Tourism.”  The goal of the summit was to bring together many industry partners to explore ways to work more collaboratively toward a stronger voice with our new Governor and state legislature.

We believe strongly that your support will be critical to the success of this annual event. We will be working on bringing together as many tourism focused organizations as we can to help us develop and promote an outstanding Pennsylvania Tourism Summit for 2012.

The 2012 Pennsylvania Tourism Summit will be held at the Hilton Harrisburg on Monday, April 30th – Wednesday, May 2nd, 2012.  This is the week before National Tourism Week and a good way to kick off and celebrate Tourism’s impact in Pennsylvania.

Our hope is that this Tourism Summit along with future Summit’s will spark critical collaboration among the tourism industry and empower each of our organizations and constituencies to be actively engaged in helping to move this significant industry forward.

Thank you for your support and willingness to participate, please contact Abby Howard at abby@pacvb.org if you have any questions.  We would ask you to share these dates with your staff.  More information will follow.
