Signing Programs

PA Logo Signing Program:
The PA Logo Signing Program is administered by the PA Tourism & Lodging Association for PENNDOT and identifies to the traveling public services available at exits on interstate and limited access highways for attractions, campgrounds, food, gas and lodging. The Participants in the Program pay a buy-in fee to place their tradename on the sign panels and an annual fee for the upkeep of the signs. Specific criteria exist for each of the services. Southwestern PA Signing Trust
The Southwestern PA Signing Trust was established in 2001 and identifies a specific signing region comprised of a Westmoreland, Fayette, Somerset counties and part of Washington and Allegheny counties. The Program is administered by the PA Tourism & Lodging Association for PENNDOT and identifies attractions and tourist services within the region. Participants pay a buy-in fee to place their name on the sign panel and a yearly fee for maintenance of the signs. The Program also includes infrastructure signs, such as "Welcome to the Region " and "Scenic Byway" signs. Additional information and applications are availabe at the website: www.spstonline.org.
Pocono Mountains Wayfinding Signing Program
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has been working to standardize directional tourism signing in the state and has been disseminating information to its Engineering District Offices as the various regions in the Commonwealth undertake efforts to become Signing Regions. To assist the Region with this project, HRG Consultants of Harrisburg has been retained as the technical consultant for this project. HRG has excellent experience in Wayfinding Sign Systems.
